Hello Friend! I have been a teacher of Yoga for a good long while and I am super grateful for that. My classes tend towards vinyasa. My vinyasa can be gentle, sometimes more challenging and never the same (or so I have been told). When I take the seat of the teacher I feel as though I take a read on the students present and then offer a class designed to take you on a journey. My goal is to get you lost in the moment so that you find your Self. I want to leave you in a better place than when you came in. That is my design, that is my intention.
When joining a practice with me as your guide, we'll move progressively through poses selected to open the body, create deep relaxation, and help students move into peace. A practice with me focuses on breath and individual experience in one's own body, so the student may explore the depth or krama that is appropriate for them. I love to offer variations in poses and the use of props so everyone can feel successful and meet themselves where they are today.
I like to sprinkle a little bit of humor with my teaching, and enhance the experience with music and essential oils.
Yoga allows me to create a peaceful space among the excitement of life. Through the practice of yoga, I can calm the mind by connecting with breath and draw your attention inward. I strive to bring awareness to the strength and flexibility of the body, also the areas holding stress, tension or fear. I like to offer new ways to let go and make space for new opportunities. My classes mainly follow a vinyasa flow, using my knowledge as a exercise physiologist to add elements of specific muscle activation and function. I like to build up to new challenges, have fun and creative classes, and integrate breath for a combination of building heat and keeping practice gentle and cool.
My intention when teaching is to deliver a peaceful and meditative practice incorporating the breath, awareness, and a wide variety of poses. I aim to create heat through movement and strength in transitions as well as moments of stillness and relaxation. I encourage students to explore the body, mind, emotions and individual daily direction and take what is needed on that specific day. Props and pose variations are used to meet the needs of all students in attendance. I use music to help create the atmosphere of class.

Saturday October 7 and October 15, 11:00am - 12:30pm
Treat yourself to a series of two Kundalini Yoga workshops Saturday October 7 and October 15. If you heard about this practice and are curious to try it out, this series is for you.
Workshop 1, October 7, is an introduction to Kundalini Yoga for beginners and students who want to understand the powerful technology and health benefits of this mind, body & spirit practice. Kundalini Yoga instructor Susanne Werblow, owner of Kundalini Yoga GR, will take you on a experiential journey where, step by step, she will have you try different powerful tools and explain how they work. The red thread of this journey will be Susanne's own story with Kundalini yoga : how it helped her recover from back problems, how a daily practice keeps her healthy and .. fit, how she deepened her lung capacity, how kundalini yoga taught her to manage her energy levels, how it keeps her emotionally balanced, how it helps her to deeply relax and last but not least how it helps her align body, mind and spirit. You will be able to try short kundalini yoga sets, breathing meditations, a gong relaxation and a chanting meditation.
Workshop 2, October 15, is a full kundalini yoga workshop where Susanne Werblow will lead her students through a complete practice including a warm up, a kundalini yoga set, a gong relaxation and a meditation. The students will be able to apply what they learned previously in a very meditative flow (no more talking ;-) The focus of this workshop will be to strengthen the immune system, to get ready for fall.
The two workshops are open to beginners. Chair modifications will be available if you are not comfortable sitting on a mat.
What to bring : wear confortable cloths, bring a natural fiber head cover if possible, a mat and a meditation cushion as well as water or herb tea.
We recommend you sign up for both workshops, but you may pick one or the other as well.
