Hello Friend! I have been a teacher of Yoga for a good long while and I am super grateful for that. My classes tend towards vinyasa. My vinyasa can be gentle, sometimes more challenging and never the same (or so I have been told). When I take the seat of the teacher I feel as though I take a read on the students present and then offer a class designed to take you on a journey. My goal is to get you lost in the moment so that you find your Self. I want to leave you in a better place than when you came in. That is my design, that is my intention.

When joining a practice with me as your guide, we'll move progressively through poses selected to open the body, create deep relaxation, and help students move into peace. A practice with me focuses on breath and individual experience in one's own body, so the student may explore the depth or krama that is appropriate for them. I love to offer variations in poses and the use of props so everyone can feel successful and meet themselves where they are today.
I like to sprinkle a little bit of humor with my teaching, and enhance the experience with music and essential oils.
Yoga allows me to create a peaceful space among the excitement of life. Through the practice of yoga, I can calm the mind by connecting with breath and draw your attention inward. I strive to bring awareness to the strength and flexibility of the body, also the areas holding stress, tension or fear. I like to offer new ways to let go and make space for new opportunities. My classes mainly follow a vinyasa flow, using my knowledge as a exercise physiologist to add elements of specific muscle activation and function. I like to build up to new challenges, have fun and creative classes, and integrate breath for a combination of building heat and keeping practice gentle and cool.
I have been blessed because yoga has been a part of my life since I was three years old, when I began to practice my mother. Being a certified yoga teacher has allowed me to pass on this love of yoga with students, and meet new friends along the way. I hope that when we practice together we can breathe deeper, explore new poses and in general feel better. My classes will often have a balance of vinyasa and yin postures, while incorporating music during the class. I encourage students to challenge themselves, while finding an appropriate balance with modification and prop usage.
I have been practicing yoga since college and loved how it made me feel strong, empowered, and relaxed all at the same time. When I teach, my goal is for my students to feel the same. My classes mainly follow a vinyasa flow, focusing on using your breath with the movement of your body. I encourage students to listen to their body and find what feels good. I love to offer modifications to guide students in their practice to ensure they are getting the full benefits of each pose. I try to make class fun and hope everyone leaves feeling better than they came.
I offer a practice that is mellow, slow, and mindful. My class offerings include asana, pranyayma (breath work), and meditation. I like to offer the use of props to support poses and hands on adjustments so students can experience the pose in a different way. My wish is for students to step off their mats feeling refreshed, nourished, and balanced.
I have found that practicing Yoga has given me a physical and spiritual balance deepening body/mind awareness. I use my knowledge to guide students to that place of comfort and peace within their own body. Yoga has become a way to share health and happiness with her students. I combine my background in education with gentleness and compassion honoring each student's strengths and challenges.
I come to you with years of knowledge & experience, not only in life but my passionate pursuit of Yoga as well. Within life’s unique classroom setting I love learning & growing because I believe “Life Is Our Classroom”. Creating a space of silence my approach to teaching yoga is to invite practitioners to explore and get to know their bodies through sensing, feeling and action as we move with breath in a variety of ways as well as remaining within stillness for further exploration. My consistent passion for expanding my reach through embracing my commitment to being a student of life. I live a full life enjoying my entrepreneurial spirit, marriage & grandchildren that add the perfect amount of spice to my life. I embrace all seasons of Michigan while enjoying reading, biking, hiking, CC Skiing, Snowshoeing & practicing my life’s passion yoga through living life
My yoga practice began many years ago following a back injury—it was my healer then and has continued to be a source of wellness for me ever since that time. I love to share the practice with others and to emphasize that yoga is for everyone and anyone. My classes tend toward vinyasa with a focus on deep, longer-held postures before the final relaxation. I like to offer fun, creative flows that gently challenge our perceived comfort zones in order to foster more comfort within our bodies and minds, both on and off the yoga mat.

I fell in love with yoga 20 years ago. As a teacher I hope to give others the opportunity to fall in love with the practice as well. Whether you're looking for strength, flexibility, discipline, a challenge, or increased mobility yoga has something for you. I'm a geek in my professional life, and I tend to geek out about how adaptable yoga is. My classes are accessible for everyone, and I like to keep it casual. I enjoy vinyasa sequences as well as poses that can be held longer for a deep stretch. My goal is to help you invest in your body and mind so that you leave with a sense of renewal to take with you.
I have been a yoga practitioner for many years. Through my practice I have discovered strenghts I was unaware of and limitations I work to overcome. My experience has convinced me that everybody can benefit from regular yoga practice. I want to assist others in their efforts toward self discovery and achieving personal goals. I emphasize proper posture performance, appropriate breathing patterns and developing inward focus to become better attuned to the body.
My name is Susan. Yoga became a part of my life twenty years ago, after suffering from severe back pain and anxiety. After leaving a corporate career and raising two daughters, I have renewed focus on my practice. Studying hatha yoga under the guidance of a chiropractor, I learned the importance of proper alignment in each pose. My class will offer an open and non-competitive environment where all levels of students will be able to follow a continuous sequence of poses to their ability. Providing a sense of peace while working on breath, balance, flexibility, and strength are my goals for each class experience.
