Hello Friend! I have been a teacher of Yoga for a good long while and I am super grateful for that. My classes tend towards vinyasa. My vinyasa can be gentle, sometimes more challenging and never the same (or so I have been told). When I take the seat of the teacher I feel as though I take a read on the students present and then offer a class designed to take you on a journey. My goal is to get you lost in the moment so that you find your Self. I want to leave you in a better place than when you came in. That is my design, that is my intention.
When joining a practice with me as your guide, we'll move progressively through poses selected to open the body, create deep relaxation, and help students move into peace. A practice with me focuses on breath and individual experience in one's own body, so the student may explore the depth or krama that is appropriate for them. I love to offer variations in poses and the use of props so everyone can feel successful and meet themselves where they are today.
I like to sprinkle a little bit of humor with my teaching, and enhance the experience with music and essential oils.
Yoga allows me to create a peaceful space among the excitement of life. Through the practice of yoga, I can calm the mind by connecting with breath and draw your attention inward. I strive to bring awareness to the strength and flexibility of the body, also the areas holding stress, tension or fear. I like to offer new ways to let go and make space for new opportunities. My classes mainly follow a vinyasa flow, using my knowledge as a exercise physiologist to add elements of specific muscle activation and function. I like to build up to new challenges, have fun and creative classes, and integrate breath for a combination of building heat and keeping practice gentle and cool.
I have been blessed because yoga has been a part of my life since I was three years old, when I began to practice my mother. Being a certified yoga teacher has allowed me to pass on this love of yoga with students, and meet new friends along the way. I hope that when we practice together we can breathe deeper, explore new poses and in general feel better. My classes will often have a balance of vinyasa and yin postures, while incorporating music during the class. I encourage students to challenge themselves, while finding an appropriate balance with modification and prop usage.

Meditation is a transcendental process of calming the mind (and body) to create more awareness and focus by leaving all fears, desires, longings, negative emotions, and even positive attachment. Meditation teaches about the power within each of us: the energy, peace, and wisdom we can tap into once we know it is available.
This is for first time meditators and people with a regular practice who want to explore it further and try new techniques. We will explore Japa Meditation, Chakra meditation, Guided meditation, Walking meditation and Vipasana meditation, as well as a few different pranayama (breathing) techniques.
No refunds or cancellations.
Sunday, November 5 at 7:30 PM - 9 PM
A Restorative practice matching 7 poses with the 7 main chakras in the body. Spending time exploring the pose and softening our bodies and minds to prepare for the fire ceremony. The fire ceremony is a time to purify and let go of our accumulation of heavy burdens; to become free to transition into better things for the future.
